Champ LED Floodlight

Eaton Crouse-Hinds enhances Champ LED Floodlights for greater performance in Industrial and Hazardous Area environments.

Power management company Eaton today announced the release of enhanced Crouse-Hinds® series Champ light-emitting diode (LED) floodlights for harsh and hazardous industrial environments. The LED floodlights are designed to provide long life and low cost operation, while avoiding the maintenance costs associated with traditional floodlights.

“Our latest technology delivers up to 72 percent energy savings compared to traditional high-intensity discharge (HID) floodlights”

“Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds series technology is delivering the next generation of illumination and efficiency across oil and gas, mining and other industrial environments to further reduce cost of ownership and complexity,” said Tom Wooldridge, LED product line manager, Eaton. “Our latest technology delivers up to 72 percent energy savings compared to traditional high-intensity discharge (HID) floodlights and is 25 percent smaller and weighs less than earlier generation solutions.”

Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds series floodlights include Champ Pro PFM LED floodlights for harsh and heavy industrial environments, as well as Champ FMV LED floodlights for hazardous, industrial environments. Both models are engineered to provide high lumen output, with efficiency up to to 117 lumens per watt. The latest models feature Eaton’s custom optics designed to maximize light distribution and intensity. Six versions of the Champ Pro PFM and Champ FMV floodlights are available, with outputs ranging from 3,000 to 13,000 lumens.

Champ floodlights are engineered to provide up to 150,000 hours of continuous operation for both indoor and outdoor operation, avoiding the need for frequent lamp replacement.

The Champ LED floodlights include design options for use in areas where flammable vapors, gases, ignitable dusts or fibers are present. Eaton’s Champ floodlights are globally certified for National Electrical Code® (NEC), Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) applications.
